1. Introduction
Welcome to Prasad Rice Mill. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the
purchase of our products (Rice, Bran, Husk, etc.) and services. By engaging with us, you agree to
these terms.
2. Product Quality & Variations
As a manufacturer of agricultural products, please note:
- Natural Product: Rice is a natural commodity. Slight variations in color, grain
size, and texture may occur between different batches.
- Moisture Content: We strictly adhere to moisture limits (typically 12-14%), but
minor fluctuations may happen due to atmospheric conditions during transport.
- Grade: Products are sold based on the agreed grade (e.g., Silky Sortex, Broken
percentage). Claims regarding quality must be raised within 24 hours of delivery.
3. Pricing and Payment
Prices for agricultural commodities are volatile and subject to market fluctuations.
- Quotation: Prices quoted are valid only for the specified period (usually 24
hours).
- Payment Terms: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, 100% advance payment is
required for new buyers. Credit terms are subject to approval and prior business history.
- Taxes: All prices are exclusive of GST and other applicable taxes unless stated
otherwise.
4. Shipping and Delivery
- Timeline: Delivery timelines are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused
by transport strikes, natural calamities, or unforeseen logistic issues.
- Risk of Loss: The risk of loss or damage to goods passes to the buyer upon
dispatch from our mill specifically for Ex-Mill agreements. For FOR (Freight, Octroi, and Risk)
deals, terms generally apply until delivery.
- Weighment: Our mill weighbridge weight is final. Buyers are encouraged to
witness weighment at the time of loading.
5. Returns and Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of food grains:
- Returns: We generally do not accept returns once goods have left our premises
unless there is a proven significant quality discrepancy from the agreed sample.
- Disputes: Any quality dispute must be substantiated with lab reports from a
government-approved laboratory.
6. Storage Services
For farmers and partners utilizing our storage services:
- Goods are stored at the owner's risk regarding natural deterioration over extended periods.
- Storage charges must be cleared before the release of stocks.
7. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these
terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Golaghat, Assam.
